Camerata Picena is a very old village: the first news are dated back to 1029. The name of the castle is linked to a battle known as the battle of Camerata, fought on the 7th June 1309. Camerata is nowadays very important for its circular castle walls that we can now see in good conditions and for its castle caves, recently restructured, all along the underground of the wall perimeter. It is also necessary to remember the Cassero castle with inside a court whose pavement is made of river pebbles and at the centre a well.
